Been listening to Bravo Three Zero at work, it's the story of one of the other 2 SAS teams that were deployed into Iraq to hunt Saddam's scud missiles. It's been gripping stuff, both Powell's recollection of the patrol as well as other missions and training that he reminisces about. I have a lot more respect for Douglas Hurd now, I'd never known he'd flown into Somalia to talk with Mohamed Aidid (yes that warlord) about letting humanitarian supplies get to the people who needed them and was cool and unflappable for the entire trip, even when bullets were flying.

Overall it's well worth a listen and certainly worth picking up, the fact that they were able to perform as well as they did with such threadbare kit and poor intel (even after scrounging what they could from US special forces) is a testament to the sheer grit of the men on that patrol.

The SAS in Iraq in Gulf War 1, just awesome what they managed to do.  I doubt we'll ever know the whole story

Also interesting about Hurd and Somalia I hadn't seen that before but I always thought he was a good egg, more intellectual than dynamic leader so was never going to be PM.  Pleased to see he's still with us.  IIRC he's also a successful author.

Well, whatever, nevermind

Watched that Rules of the Game - BBC woke shite .

But truly should have been called a comedy if they think anyone in HR does anything more that refer you to a policy or tell you to speak to your manager  ::)
