Watching The Favourite...  rubschin:

Not the worstest filum evah but one of the finalists...  noooo:
Ta, that's the impression I got from the trailers

I'm never keen on films that reinvent the past for hidden agendas

Me too... But had a friend round yesterday that was raving about it so I thought I would give it a go... facepalm:

A bizarre combo of excellent acting (Olivia Colman is superb) wrapped around a fucking awful script and a soundtrack that could lead you to eat your own testicles...  noooo:

So that's why you were rooting round in LL's handbag...  whistle:
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

So seeing as how critics loved it we started to watch La La Land

Badly acted, badly sung, poor choreography, poor sound and everything looking like it was shot on a budget that didn't allow retakes, we lasted about 30 minutes before giving it the gong

Utter shite
Well, whatever, nevermind

Hopefully you had loads of creme eggs injected with voddy to get over the trauma

I read up the ending on Wiki and yes, pants.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_La_Land_(film)#Plot

And to think for a minute this was an Oscar winning best film  noooo:
Well, whatever, nevermind

Let's face it an Oscar doesn't denote quality....its more a  homage to back slapping sleazeballs  and their superficialness, snobbery and grovelling righteousness !!
