Mr Snowdon does seem to have a bit of a bee in his bonnet about prohibition

Essentially he purports to believe in free choice for all ....... but I note he does not permit his books to be published in Kindle form ~ presumably because the royalties are lower.  whistle:

His free choice not to I guess...?

I have signed copies of both books...  cloud9:

 noooo:

You should have got the author to sign them instead.

It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

One of many books received at Christmas was "Johnson's Life of London" written by Boris Johnson.
Finished reading it last night ~ a most entertaining book in true Boris style.
Some of his history may be a little suspect but never the less many facts about London and various inhabitants down the ages causing "Well I never knew that" moments.

Not a book for the academic but worth a read for entertainment value.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Just finished Any Human Heart - what an exquisite book!  cloud9:

Stunning writing - didn't want to get to the end....  noooo:

Strangely, it was enhanced by watching the film first - if for no other reason than 'seeing' Jim Broadbent as the main character - he is perfect for it....

Highly recommended!
