While you were all discussing wine last night, I was watching "Bottle Shock" starring Alan Rickman, based on a true story and a good watchable film it turned out to be  happy088

"In 1976, Steven Spurrier, a sommelier in Paris, comes to the Napa Valley to take the best he can find to Paris for a blind taste test against French wine. He meets Jim Barrett, whose Chateau Montelena is mortgaged to the hilt as Jim perfects his chardonnay. There's strain in Jim's relations with his hippie son Bo and his foreman Gustavo, a Mexican farmworker's son secretly making his own wine. Plus, there's Sam, a UC Davis graduate student and free spirit, mutually attracted to both Gustavo and Bo. As Spurrier organizes the "Judgment of Paris," Jim doesn't want to participate while Bo knows it's their only chance. Barrett's chardonnay has buttery notes and a Smithsonian finish.

I'll look out for that JOM.  happy088

I've been catching up on a few films that I hadn't really seen "end to end", like. Last night, The Good German. Oh dear,  noooo: noooo:

George Clooney, Oi! You are NOT Humphrey Bogart so pack it in! And as for you Cate Blanchett, you're neither Ingrid Bergman nor Marlene Dietrich for all yer pouting so you can give a rest too!  noooo:

Midnight in St Petersburg... oh dear, oh dear, what a turkey. Still, I suppose it paid for the extension Sir Michael  noooo:

Don't know what reminded me of this, but have had it on the book shelf for a couple of years.  Will revisit it ... it will give me something to do tomorrow as I seem to be at home this weekend.  ::) ::)

Edited so you would know what I was on about... like.

It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Watched 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed' yesterday

Impressive  acting , essentially a clever and twisted kidnap plot, gets a bit violent . Excellent

No shagging but some S & M touches and Gemma Arteton gets naked  eeek:

Watched ' A Serious Man' - Coen brothers film .

No shagging , no violence . Meant to be a black humour but can't say i found much to larf about. If there is a moral to this story, it is that trying to make sense of life is a foolish endeavor doomed to failure  noooo:

Not recommended  noooo:
