State of Play

Been watching this over the past few nights - watched it on the Beeb originally (in 2003 I think) but picked it up on DVD from Amazon for under four quid - bargain.

David Morrissey (  worthy: ) stars in a political drama set in Westminster. Excellent acting all round from John Simm, Bill Nighy (  worthy: ) and Kelly MacDonald...

Well worth watching and plenty of shagging too...

Watched this last night  happy088

Winslet and Di Caprio play a couple in the 1950's who are living the American Dream but are wholly discontented with life in the suburbs, the loss of their individual identities in marriage and the lack of realisation of their long held dreams.

Combine this with the overwhelming reality of disappointment and frustration  in each other and you can definitely see this is not a feel good movie  lol:

No Titantic glitzy romance  ( thank heavens   8) ) - just a tragic tale, excellent performances .
