I'm not. I'll hear it on the radio alarm in the morning. Humphries and co will be talking of little else.

Tories snatch Crewe from Labour
The Conservative Party has achieved its first by-election gain in 26 years, taking the previously safe Labour seat of Crewe and Nantwich.

Tory candidate Edward Timpson won 7,860 more votes than his Labour rival, overturning a 7,000 Labour majority at the general election - a 17.6% swing.

Very good, more than a mid term flash in the pan. Naughtie seemed strangley put out about it. He got very aggressive with George Osborne who had to slap him down a couple of times and the interview was according cut short without a word of thanks by Naughtie.

I loved the Newsnight pre result coverage last night. Gavin Estler was almost in hysterics. The poor bugger just couldnt keep a straight face after one of the Labour cronies in Crewe called Gordo a guarranteed vote winner.

To be fair though he is, its just the votes are for the conservative party.

I want to see Gordo suffer.

A bloke in the village died the other day (46). His wife is  teacher at the school so it was "announced".

The daughter (age 7)  of a mate of mine came home that day and said, "The funeral's Friday. Is it burial or crucifixion?"

I feel the same about Gordo
