Just started reading this book by John Brignell. Its about the misuse of statistics in the modern age for various reasons, a very good read but man....I consider myself a budding intellectual and just keep getting brought right down to earth for two reasons: 1) I have to keep on running to google for word definitions or obscure quotes from books, and 2) I'm getting drowned in a sea of mathmatical equations. The fact that I'm quite numerically challenged is something that has been bothering me for awhile....need to get it sorted!

Edit: The authors website can be found here:
www.numberwatch.co.uk and comes very highly recommended.
