I see from the Torygraph today that the Conservative Party plan to appoint qualified people into all the jobs important to the running of London (Ken's placemen have to leave with him as per a US style administration) and Boris will act as a sort of Chairman of the "Committee". They hope this will avoid any Boris style cock-ups coming back to haunt them at the General Election.
