Other Peoples Lives
« on: April 21, 2008, 06:49:46 AM »
A colleague has just come in this morning complaining about his weekend. He had to travel up country to go and sort out a problem with his mother-in-law. She's thrown her boyfriend out after accusing him of having an affair

She's 82, he's 86!

At that age I'd leave them to sort their own problems.

I often used to think it was just teenagers who loved the dramarama of loving and dumping but the older I get the more I see that it is just more of the same regardless of age.  noooo:

I am beyond consolation. cry:

To make matters worse we inherited a new "granny" who no one knew, but we were still required to visit her on alternate Sundays for years evil:

We have someone in our place who bought a house in November and still hasn't moved in noooo:

Monday's are the worse - they usually follow a whole weekends worth of tales of woe of what the Polish builders have cocked up the most this time. Classics include drilling through newly fitted electrics in the kitchen, tiling that has all fallen off, a new staircase that has had to be completely ripped out again etc etc etc.

Much as you listen to others tales with disbelief it is also quite reaffirming to appreciate how 'normal' your life is  lol:
