Building firms 'rigged contracts'

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has accused 112 construction companies of rigging bids for contracts.

It said the firms colluded among themselves while bidding for contracts, leading to customers, such as local authorities, having to pay too much.

The regulator added that in a few cases firms entered into agreements whereby the successful tenderer would pay a sum of money to those that lost out.

I wonder how many of the 112 companies named are currently working on the Olympic site?

I expect they all do – assuming they have links to the Labour hierarchy that is…  Banghead

I supervise one of them and have had many dealings with the other one for over 11 years. They are rotten from top to bottom. This has been long overdue. I know of one person that tried to blow the whistle and it is alleged that that person went off with a six figure payoff to keep there mouth shut. Strange that neither have won any major contracts in the past six months  rubschin:

I guess that's one stage better than a demolition site.  ;)
