Ain't nothing going to bring me down today.

Have sorted out a way plus a fall back for Mr Wench to have a final ticket
Have booked flights for Summer hols
The sun is shinning
My Mother has transfered me some money
Weekend of peace and quiet beckons

 cloud9:

Would you mind not being so bloody cheerful. It's depressing me.

It is my reason for being.  cloud9:

Plus I am reading that downshifting book that Snoops lent me. I feel more positive by the day!

Well Connexions are famously useless.

Will he get any decent GCSEs?

I know. ::)

Who knows? We're reasonably optomistic about some half decent but unspectacular results come August.
We've suggested business studies at college, so we'll wait and see.
He simply says he wants a decent job with a reasonable wage.

As for car sales, i know that it can be a decent career option, but you've got to be of a certain character....sharp, tough, selfish, and downright bloody ruthless, not 'attributes' I'd associate with Growler jnr tbh.
He's probably get eaten alive by all the sharks that are swimming around in that industr....I know, I see them every day.
I'd probably do quite well at it, as I've hardened over the last 13 years seeing what goes on in the background. evil:

It depends what he sees as a reasonable wage. To be honest if he is dead set against college/university then he is better off in the real world until he decides he is. In my experience most of them last a couple of years before realising they should go back.

Forget car sales ~ done that ........ evil trade full of evil people ~ even worse than insurance salesmen.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
