Here we go
« on: March 04, 2008, 05:03:28 PM »
All 330 or so PCs to get a profile refresh over the course of the next two nights.

I've tested it on twenty with only one minor problem.

Who would like to start the bidding on how many refreshed fails. I'll start with 50.

And I'm going to Swindon tomorrow, so someone else can sort out the problems :-)

If you’ve tested on 20 and only had one problem then out of 330 you’ll have about 275…  point:

As my old maths teacher would have said - "show your workings", as I cannot fathom how you arrived at that figure...

Baldymort is applying Nick Law TMR: No matter how something performs in testing, the moment you use it for real it will cock up in the most catastrophic manner possible.

I stand by my prediction - 50 will go wrong. Hopefully on users with nice tits...

That means you have either worked out the workstation names for the users in question or you are going to cause a catastrophic cock up as per Nicks Law to cover all the bases.  point:

Strangely, of the twenty tested on, about 10 were users with nice fun bags - including Mrs TMR (to be) in case she reads this and decides to remove my testicles with the garden shears...

You are probably safe there TMR, if she does decide to remove them I doubt she'd use anything that sharp. Would be over far too quickly....  eeek:

My garden shears are extremely blunt...

Mrs TMR is out tonight (the "big" boss is having his redundancy do) so it is unlikely she will find this out, as she is apt to wobble in at midnight and perform rude things. I didn't get an invite to his "do" as I am merely the IT bloke THAT HAS SORTED HIS FUCKING LAPTOP OUT NON-STOP SINCE HE HAS BEEN HERE (OK - I broke one).

I am not bitter. Not at all.
