I know, I wired up my old deck, pre-amplifier, etc. to my sound card...

Was very pleased with it all until you have to re-name everything... although I think I found some software that recognised breaks in tracks and separated them automatically...

I use VinylStudio - it will search interweb for album/track info, makes life a lot easier.

Bought a stereo phono preamp to connect turntable to pc, rest was a doddle.

I am now sitting in a darkened room listening (and recording) Alien Sex Fiend - "Liquid Head in Tokyo". Missus (BB) asleep n the next room, fantastic. Next will be the "Maximum Security" album.
