Mr Nick smokes a metaphorical cigar
« on: December 14, 2007, 02:34:42 PM »
If I smoked real cigars now would be the time to do it.

I have managed to finish off three projects which have been lumbering along since March, in one case, and sent them all off to the clients. ;D

Invoices have been submitted. ;D

Two tenders, due in this week, have been submitted in time. I have already heard that I have won one, with work due to start in early Jan. This one also means a pleasant little trip to London next week for a brief meeting and lots more trips there next year working for nice people  who will pay me a lot. ;D

In other words I have finished work for the year and am sitting back waiting for payment. Next year's income is sorted out, and even my tax stuff has gone off early to the accountant to work her magic.

Mr Nick (feeling smug and wondering what can possibly go wrong)

I dunno. I might find all kinds of urgent needs to go out. IN fact I can feel just such an urge coming on right now!
