Interruptions

Right, so I am finishing off a tender I am writing and Mrs Nick has to pick her mother up at 10.00 (a 45 minute drive from here) to deliver her somewhere or other. So at 9.40 she sort of materialises in front of me asking if I have receipts handy for various recent purchases (lightbulbs, lawnmower, paint and so on). Why?

"I have been thinking about it for days, but keep forgetting to ask you."

"Is it urgent?"

"Well ,no..."

"So leave me alone and go and fetch your mother who is standing at her front gate in the rain clutching her vast handbag and looking anxious........"

All come under the generic heading of "Faffing"

I must Google that word and see if anyone has anything interesting to say on the subject











Yes you are right ~ I have finished my latest project, it's Friday and I'm bored. Youngest is still being asthmatic in front of the TV so I can't do any painting. Google it is then.

Must be a common condition then. She has just left. She got up at 7.00. Since then she has had a shower, had breakfast and got dressed. THREE HOURS!! noooo:

If I am going out somewhere I am always ready before I need to leave. In fact Mr Wench faffs. I am up, showered, dressed and make-up in forty minutes on a week day morning. My Dad was ex navy which means faffing and lateness were not permitted.
