The Government
« on: December 06, 2007, 06:10:22 PM »
Well, who would vote for this lot then?

ROll up:

Broon
Straw
Balls
Kelly
Blears
Darling
Milliband (x2)
Alexander
Browne

and so on

What have we done to deserve this?

And why are so many of these bastards Scottish?

1. Not I.

2. They think themselves more honest.

The reason so many are Scots is because, as surveys have recently disclosed, people trust a Scottish accent. Well that and the fact that the constituency boundaries are such that Scottish MPs have a greater chance of winning if they are Labour than if they are Conservatives.

I know but apparently they do. Makes no sense to me but there you go ~ neither does the Government most of the time.

It is oft said that the Electorate gets the Government it deserves. I believe this to be true which is why I spend time, effort and money trying to get people out to vote. Mainly through the Community Magazine I publish and edit but despite my best endeavours less than 50% of those eligible in this village turned out at the last Welsh Assembly elections. The Labour candidate got in by 97 votes. Close but not close enough in my opinion. Come the next elections (In May 2008 for County and Community Councils) I shall again be out there pushing for people to vote. No good complaining if you don't do something about it. As I tell 'em on the doorsteps "I don't care who you vote for but bloody vote" ... If enough people listen then maybe things will change.

Our MP has an assured majority. It's to do with the way the boundaries are drawn. He has a job for life and knows it!  evil:
