There was a rumour a while ago that if a member's karma reaches -100 they are taken to Wenchy's dungeon for chastisement. I suspect that in Barman's case Wenchy is frantically applauding him to make sure it never reaches the magic number  drumroll:

Poor Wenchy - you can always just bind and gag and leave him an some dark alleyway if it reaches the magic number.
