Finally we are now getting paid for the energy we're exporting  .  A whole 12p a kWh.  That'd be £2.70 today, still it all adds up.

Shame about the 803 kWh they got from us for free though

Gonna be a piss-poor month for us... Local land was cleard (fire regs) which put dust everywhere and it has been very humid and overcast for August...

We're definitely seeing generation diminishing and with rain the next few days we might soon be into net importing.

Mrs K is also well fed up with me checking the App to see how it's working.

Weirdly here the credits for exporting go through on a totally separate account.

I assume there's some sort of interlock so the plug pins can't go live unless they can see an earth connection and have detected a 230V 50Hz signal.  But if these things become popular the less scrupulous Far East knock off manufacturers will start selling counterfeit ones with less than robust safety.  And that's before we get to DIY bodgers, IMHO the whole concept of supplying 230V power through plug pins is just not good.

A day of gloomy weather and so not much free electricity - poorest day so far.  Worse it's windywoos so after one mini power cut have just forked out ~£4 to import electricity so we are covered until sun comes up tomorrow - it will won't it?

August has been shit so far - really hazy and overcast (but hot!)... Just 727kWh so far but the storm yesterday has cleared the air...
