Agreed, you'd think with all their money and computing resources they'd do a search for any identical content check on forbidden posts
 
But to Facebook and other similar operations it's only important to be able to pretend they're moral

You are assuming that Facebook do their own checking and don't simply outsource scrutinising any posts picked up by the AI.  noooo:

In the context of a joke, I can't see the problem, especially as it was probably on a Facebook page dedicated called "Cuntroversial Banter".  People who visit that page aren't expecting Aled Jones and fluffy kittens.

Actually I'd bet they do outsource their checking - to the lowest cost option.   But outsourcing doesn't change the desk where the buck stops.

Not being on Arsebook I don't actually know their rules so to be fair I'm guessing they have a no porn links rule.
