SO, I have two large globe shaped lamp shades on the centre lights. A bulb needs replacing and I think I will use the chance to clean both lamp shades.  

Up the step ladder and both shades and the faulty bulb replaced. New bulb procured and fitted  

I decide to wash the lampshades in the bath (they are about the size of basketballs). It is as this point that I discover that both contain significant quantities of dead ladybirds  

I now have to go out and buy a rubber plunger thing as my bath drain is entirely blocked with dead ladybirds
