Family problems

I have two sisters. Big Sis cannot bear Pink Sis.

Big Sis turns 80 on September 4th. There is a posh family lunch to which Pink Sis is not invited and which she does not know about. A small country hotel has been taken over for the day.

Pink Sis e mailed me today (we have not spoken since March) and reminded me that it is Big Sis's birthday soon and do I want to go halves on some flowers. I sort of agreed.

She then wrote back and said that we must find out if she is at home on that day to receive the delivery. I know she won't be as I will also be at the hotel with everyone except Pink Sis. I cannot disclose this.. facepalm:

I can sense this one will run and run  noooo:

Now we have a family funeral in a week or so (elderly cousin) where we will all be, including both sisters.......Will be scared to speak.....

Why not tell Big Sis to invite Pink Sis?  If she doesn't you can still look Pink Sis straight in the eye.

Since she knows nothing of the party she can say nothing about it. But 3 or 4 hours of family chatter might permit something to slip out from others there who are also attending the party, like.
