Saw the boss first thing and told him I had had enough and was leaving. He is also leaving at the end of the month for the same reasons and advised me to go to the quack to get a sick note to cover my notice period so I will get all March and half April paid. Seen quack and now at home.

Very relieved!!  Never going to Derby again.

2. The University will, if it comes to fruition, settle out of court to avoid adverse publicity for themselves

Did you have to complete a medical questionairre beforehand that would indicate if there were any issues that they needed to be mindful of ?

Did you meet with your manager / supervisor to discuss your concerns ?

Bit fvcking late now!! I am vaguely warned by a friend that to cover their arses, HR might want me in soon for some kind of "anything we can do?" style meeting.....He has offered to come with me. He has just retired as head of HR at Siemens (UK) 

And HR never offered induction, just a compulsory Equality and Diversity course which never materialised

Well, she was an idiot. I told her no projector needed. 

That presentation using an Aldiss Lamp was certainly innovative and diverse if less than equality minded

Did she ever get better and get back to being merely incompetent?
