NZ Day 21

Wellington to Picton to Marlborough

Splendid day!

Up early for a taxi to the inter Island Ferry, the most beautiful crossing to the South Island landing at Picton and then a lovely drive to Marlborough. The most beautiful scenery in Marlborough Sounds and seals too!

Took LL to the hospital as she still has a bad cough where they made her wear a mask and put her in isolation! Thankfully released shortly thereafter when Bronchitis was diagnosed and new meds prescribed.

Then a quick wander round the town via the beautiful war memorial and off to a ‘Gastro Pub’ (with a hidden secret) for dinner and collapso...
Get well soon LL

And more excellent pics   Love that blue car - a Vauxhall?

That TC Murray cross is a very sad one.  So I looked it up.  He was executed by the Japanese with 21 others
Well, whatever, nevermind

I thought it was a Vauxhall Cresta but it was a Chevrolet...

Thanks for looking up Murray, I had assumed it was by his own side - there was a really sad case at the Gallipoli exhibition - sentenced to death for falling asleep at his post...  noooo:

NZ Day 22

Marlborough Wine Tour

What a perfect day to spend the day! Weather was lovely, joined a small group (6 including us) of lovely people (4 from Sydney and us, but you can’t have everything) drinking fabulous wines and having sensational food for lunch…

We’ve bought so much collapso we’ll never get it home so will probably have to drink most of it here.

Tomorrow is ANZAC day. We are heading off to the Peter Jackson Dangerous Skies exhibition and then driving down to Kaikoura.

Thanks Uncle!  uc9:

I was taking pictures of the ferry yesterday and two 'teens' behind me mumbled, "how sad is that...?"...  lol:

But I love taking pictures and thousands hundreds several people seem to really enjoy them - plus I can share them for free!

I shall continue...  ;)

Going here tomorrow...
