If you see Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) on the flight please say . . . .

. . . . . and I will spit feathers (long story not really worth telling, are they ever?)

Sitting on the right side!

As a kid we got bleeding inundated with artefacts featuring bleeding Mt Egmont so in 96 we made a special trek to New Plymouth to see it.  Turns out Taranaki/Egmont is only visible something like one day in 10 and none of the days we were there were lucky ones

Here's one someone prepared earlier

Well, whatever, nevermind

NZ Day 18

Auckland To Wellington

Good flight, not too windy at Windy Wellington and a quick drive to the rather quirky GT Museum Hotel.

Unpacked and then explored the harbour area before a few beers and something to eat...

NZ Day 19

Wellington.

Exploring Wellington in the sunshine again – what a lovely city!

Walked through the harbour, took the cable car to the botanical gardens and met a very friendly Apiarist who told us all about his art while surrounded by a cloud of bees!

Then back down to the town stopped at a lovely old pub for a beer and back to the hotel.

Some pictures are duplicated due to a camera (photographer  redface:) malfunction...
