NZ Day 16RotoruaStarted the day with a Dog’s Bollocks Burger while LL had something on her plate which looked like it had come from another part of the animal…Then off to see some old geysers, a walk round some thermal pools close to the hotel and a surprise remembrance service in the park opposite the hotel.

We'd be driving along listening to the radio and there's be regular reports of cars bursting into flame. So in a sense it was more than $2 if it meant your prized Allegro went up in flames

Luckily plenty survived - the classic car scene is obviously quite big here... Have seen some beauties!

Have seen some beauties! no MeMis?I did read some time ago that the story was apocryphal as NZ just always had that many car fires but some wanted it blamed on the unpopular unleaded fuelFrankly if I owned an Austin Allegro I'd pay someone to torch it - but not those Jags
If you see Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) on the flight please say . . . . . . . . . and I will spit feathers (long story not really worth telling, are they ever?)
