Khyber pass eh?   lol:

Have they still got their One Tree Hill?  IIRC there was an accident with it.

Glad you appreciated that!

One Tree Hill has been pointed out several times but is the one place in  Auckland we haven't been yet...  lol:

IIRC it's OK but not worth diverting from a beer for

Is it just me or is that Auckland tower less than an oil painting?

Well, whatever, nevermind

LL's Sister's Bloke is into toy model cars and railways... ::)

I made him put his layout together and take it apart three times so I could get this video! happy001

Unfortunately, when he let me have a go the Routemaster produced smoke and stopped...  redface:

Just like the real ones then

Nuffin model wise beats slot car racing like Scalextric .  If I had one of those model road systems as a 6 year old I'd have spent a few hours staging spectacular accidents and then it would have gone into a cupboard rarely to reappear

But at his age?

But then seems it does rain a lot in Auckland.

Well, whatever, nevermind

It is an obsession!  eeek:

He spends hours scaling the Interwebz for the parts he needs...

Clever bloke tho, he designed the layout (which is going to be permanent in the garage, not on the floor) in 3D CAD and designed the 'missing' track sections and got them 3D printed...

He has a 'n' gauge 9mm layout and this will be an 'OO' mixed car/train layout - with Hornby 'Living Steam' engines!  eeek:

But then he has just shown me his 'shopping list'... everything they have ever bought in the supermarket listed in the order that the supermarket is laid out. So you just circle the bits you need this week and then take the shortest route around the supermarket to get them...  noooo:

Perhaps I shouldn't have suggested he builds the layout again so that I can film it in 0.5 sec intervals instead of 1 sec...?  noooo:

Interesting...  rubschin:

Everybody apparently heats water with lektrik...

The Lektrik Company demands access to your water heater supply or charges you extra for all your 'normal' lektrik....

So when the system is under stress (like now after the storms) they simply switch off your water heater remotely!  eeek:

Just had a bleddy cold shower!  cussing:

Coming to a Smart Meter near you shortly...  noooo:
