Auckland Day 4
  great ones

And to think once upon a time that's as many pics as many took in an entire holiday.  And then had to wait for them to be developed
Well, whatever, nevermind

I know, get a pack of 36 back from the chemist (snigger) and it would cover months if not years...  lol:

3 generations

As far as I know none of my grand parents ever took a photo
Between them my parents took ~ 1,000 photos in their life
Since my first digital camera I've averaged ~3,000 a year
Well, whatever, nevermind

I remember having one of these and being gutted on holiday when somebody ran in front of me and ruined the final picture on the 'roll'... it was going to be of some castle in Wales. Buying a second roll simply wasn't an option and using those 'Magicube' things was definitely for special occasions only...

Now I have a gazillion digital images most of which will only ever be seen once...  lol:

Just watched the bins being emptied!  lol:

They have a council service here and competing private companies (although you still have to pay for the council service).

Private company turns up in a single-operator truck that has a grab arm that lifts up the wheelie bin and empties it into the truck.

Council service turns up to empty their bins (different colour) in the same single-operator type of truck but with another bloke that has to peel a tag off the bin before the truck can empty it... facepalm:
