After falling three times at home and being found much later nodding was supplied with an emergency call pendant. There is a monthly subscription.

He has cancelled it.

Why?

I was tempted to suggest comparing it to insurance policies but I can see how that could backfire.

“My phone isn’t working. I can’t call anyone. Can you come round?”

I said NO.

I point out that his phone must be working as he is using it to call me.

Today he went off on a 10 minute rant about the impossibility of getting any locally.

He was in tears and head in hands.

Delivered herrings.
