Books we won't be wasting money on
« on: October 30, 2017, 08:15:07 AM »
Gordo has released his autobiography, claiming that he was an effective leader, made the right decision about the economy and the only reason he failed was that he is no good with 'touchy feely' politics or dealing with the twitterati.

Effective leader? Right about the economy? Well let's look at some of the highlights of your time in office:

  • Selling off our gold reserves when prices were at an all time low.
  • Plundering pension pots.
  • Allowing massive deregulation of the financial sector and somehow managing to miss the signs of the oncoming meltdown.
  • Crippling the NHS with PFI contracts.
  • Pouring taxpayers money into banks that had become 'too big to fail' and had overstretched themselves in the sub prime market following deregulation.
  • A complete inability to empathise with the electorate.
  • An almost Bliar like delusion that none of it was your responsibility and that you alone were the one who could save us all from the financial meltdown.

No Gordon, you weren't an effective Prime Minister, any more than you were an effective Chancellor. You forced your way into both positions where there were clearly better candidates available that wouldn't have fucked this country up anywhere near as much as you managed to.

The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Saw her being interviewed on the telly recently. How the interviewer didn't just slap her I don't know. I would have done!
