Nod's attempt to use HOmage to Catalonia as a guide book was a bit hit and miss  noooo:

The highlight of the tour was a schoolyard bombed by the Italians in 1938 which killed a lot of kids. We had to admire the shrapnel scars.

Otherwise his navigation skills are zero and his "Spanish" (at which he is terminally hopeless) caused numerous terrifying misunderstandings noooo:
