Well the Prince Naseem Hamed film is out imminently

I see that Naz turned up at the premiere. if I hadn't been told who it was I wouldn't have recognised him.

Not so much Prince Naseem Hamed as Prince Noshing Hamburgers  whistle:

 eeek:
eeek: eeek:  but an amazing and surprisingly uplifting story.  I won't be queueing to get seats for it though and I assume Nod won't either.

Well the first images of the Henry Cavil Highlander remake have been released.

Cavil looks the part as Mcleod but I'm not sure what to think about remaking the film. Highlander (as far as I'm concerned the sequels don't exist and I'll die on that hill) was lightning in a bottle. All the elements came together perfectly. The Queen soundtrack, the casting, the overall aesthetic made an 80's fantasy film that was truly special.  Clancy Brown as the Kurgan was probably one of the best roles I've seen him play

I do not have ducks. I do not have a row. I have squirrels and they are all at a rave.

This one flew under the radar so I've only just found out about it. I'm cautiously optimistic though, it does look promising.

rubschin:  Clever premise https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Lung_(film)#Plot but seems the low budget has cut the end quality.

Every once i a while we end up getting an odd arthouse film and later this year we have two of them. Take a silent film and give it a 90's music soundtrack and you end up with Silents Synced.

First we have Nosferatu with a Radiohead soundtrack..

And then we have Harold Lloyd's Sherlock Jr with an REM soundteack

 rubschin:

Saw the Buster Keaton one last night. Cracking film and the REM soundtrack works well. You also realise that if you tried to remake the film today the health and safety crowd would be having heart failure at some of the stunts.  lol:  Also came with the Ballonist as a bonus short.  Their next film is Keaton's The Cameraman with a soundtrack by They Might be Giants.  Thumbs:

No update on Metropolis yet but 2 bands mentioned in the introduction that haven't been used on a film yet are The Pixies and Pearl Jam. Either of those could be an interesting choice.  rubschin:
