The students of today
« on: August 31, 2007, 11:39:52 AM »
Mrs Nick came home in a strop last night. She is working on a pre-sessional summer school at the Uni and is doing a course on study skills in English for overseas students. ONe chap, let us call him Hussein, for that is his name, doodled for half an hour and then fell asleep in a lecture. She challenged him about this afterwards and he said that she was "boring" and he didn't need to go to lectures himself anyway since his "friend" would attend and pass him the notes!

"Fail" him now and let him appeal the case later.
Inform whoever is paying his fees (it certainly won't be him)
Ban him from future lectures for rudeness.
Slap him until his ears ring.
I have many ideas on the subject ~ none of which are permissible 'cos he's bleck!

No point until the sweep has been & he can't get here until 3.
I still feel that running away is the better option.
