Personally, I reckon the witch hunt against the paper was outrageous....  noooo:

I've never bought it but millions did every day - clearly not offended by the tits on page 3....

Fuck them, I hope they go out of business for caving in....

this will have the square root of fuck all to do with all the limp protests over the years.  Digger Murdoch didn't get where he is today without being a hard nosed bastard and anyway the on line Sun still has them.  This will be a test to see if nip free circulation goes up or down.  My guess is no change so they won't be seen back in print

Just a thought like but far from really being incorrect, imho Page 3 was a big part in dismantling the pompous crap that was so pervasive around the 60s and 70s.   Mary starched knickers Whitehouse probably lived a little more uncomfortably at the thought her hubbie might be peeking at page 3 when she allowed him off the leash.
