Nick's holiday (poll)
« on: June 13, 2014, 02:02:25 PM »
It has been three weeks since my last holiday and so I will soon need another. I finish this present job in 2 weeks. If I go quick in early July I can still get pre-school hols prices

I am torn between 4-5 day city breaks and a week in a seaside place  rubschin:

Vote on my shortlist and I will obey  angel1

Bruges/Brugge is good for a couple of days but wouldn't want a whole week there.  Amsterdam is good for similar time but is also noted for drugs, high risk sex for cash, having your car broken into so locals can pay for drugs.  Prolly has an interesting Dutch artist.

How about Brazil?  Not much going on there right now so hotel prices cheap, little civil unrest and you can explain to the locals in slow clearly annuciated English about this game we have in Europe called "football"   whistle:

Well, whatever, nevermind

Are we voting for which one Nick would prefer or which one would likely give us the most amusing stories?

If It's stories then I'd say either Amsterdam (Nick, cannabis cafes and a red light district. What's the worst that could happen?) or Berlin (Nick, a beer festival and a fraulein in leiderhosen who turns out to be called Heinrich).  rubschin:

If I were Nick I'd just drive to Brugge/Bruges for 2 or 3 nights, drive onto Hamster-jam for same then do a long slog home.
