It gets better/worse depending on your point of view. How the hell is Ed expecting to be taken seriously when he admits he doesn't follow UK news? Understanding the news in a critical part of the job, both as MP and as party leader so that you can make informed decisions and as such is something that you do yourself and not leave to aides to give you a precis instead. Given his rabid support for the unions I have to wonder just how objective the information he allows himself to be spoon fed actually is.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2642733/I-dont-read-British-news-Miliband-rejects-touch-claims-admits-hes-interested-US-politics-baseball-happening-UK.htmlMr Miliband was asked if it was a problem that the public thought he was a bit weird?
He said: 'Frankly they were saying that… the press people who don’t like us have been saying that for some time. It comes with the territory.
'I think the heart of this is people think we are in a position to win the election and there are some people who don’t want us to win this election.'
People who don't want you to win the election? You mean people who have a degree of common sense then. Lets be honest here, there is a large portion of the electorate that knows you have no gravitas, a complete contempt for the average voter, dubious and see you as just another useless idiot in his ivory tower buggering up the country and troughing all he can.
