Vegetables that aren't
« on: March 04, 2014, 09:15:06 AM »
Following some postings in the good morning thread, it seems that there are a few odd contenders for the vegetable kingdom.

For example, Steve confessed to having an egg for breakfast the other day.

My daughter (since cured by bacon) when a vegetablist, was happy to eat fish and her grandfather (on her mother's side) considered both fish and chicken to be vegetables whilst proclaiming his good self to be of the vegetablist persuasion.

Any others any one?

P.S. This is not a pop at Steve
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

I'll confess to anything giving enough thumbscrews or inducements

If we want to be serious then AFAIK 'vegetablist' isn't a recognised term just an amusing Clarksonism.  A 'vegetarian' is usually said to be someone who won't eat any meat or fish but there are so many grey areas - like Trebor Mints, Parmesan and Guinness.  Vegans won't eat eggs or cheese or Quorn, I do.  Anyway IMHO anyone that wants to be a food Nazi should go get a life - if they're lucky they'll be on special offer at Argos.

[/serious]

As for Nick's stew it must be a WMD by now and we should consider preemptive strikes
Well, whatever, nevermind
