Marley gets an extra job
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:26:03 AM »
Only gone and landed me-self an extra job to go with 20hour grocery delivery job!

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what it might be?

(No prizes unfortunately)
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Quite close - bearer/chauffeur for a local Funeral Director!

Quite lucrative too - fixed fee basis, one fee for being a bearer, extra if you also drive, even more for a "removal"  eeek:

You could do yer other deliveries at the same time. Plenty of room in the back, saves on time, saves on fuel, everyone's a winner.... well, except the poor sod in the biggest box  redface:

When my next-door-but-one neighbour died the funeral guy turned up on his own, zipped her in a body bag and threw her over his shoulder to carry her out to the 'private ambulance'  eeek:

Good thinking that man...

Many years ago when I was alone with two kids and no munny... I used to make costumes for a male stripper... part of his act was he came out of a coffin dressed as Dracula anyhoo he used to come to my house with the coffin strapped to the top of his bright orange Cortina which has fur fabric seats the lot..... lol: lol: lol:

My neighbour came round one day and asked if he would park it round the corner when he came... in case people thought she was dead .... she was 80 at the time... ;)

I suspect it is the same company that dropped a coffin out of the back of the car in front of LL....

I don't know how they explained all the scratches at the funeral....

Possibly an Affs.

Mrs DS#2 used to work in a charity shop. One day a hearse pulled up opposite with smoke coming out from under the bonnet.

The bearers all jumped out and unloaded the coffin onto the pavement.

The smoke turned out to be steam and once the radiator was topped up they loaded up again and took the box off to be burned properly.
