U.K. National Grid Status

Has everybody seen this...? Shrugs:

I've been keeping an eye on it for some time...

It shows that at the moment, out of the ~40GW of total power being consumed by the UK, all those thousands of on-shore and off-shire bird mincers are producing just 1.3GW...  noooo:

Wind currently (see what I keep doing there like?) supplying 1.8% of UK demand...

I'll try and find the Cyprus figures....  whistle:

Found the Cyprus figures!  cloud9:

At 11am (5 mins ago), total load was 717MW of which all those fucking bird mincers produced just 10MW (1.3%)....  Banghead

Bet a sizeable chunk of that is air conditioners

And when will air conditioning load be highest?  Hot airless days.

I can't find the article, but I read one recently that the number of turbines in Scotland had doubled in the last few years but the  amount of power produced by wind up there had only increased by 17% over the same period.  rubschin:
