Age difference
« on: April 13, 2013, 02:27:34 PM »
So talking to a female friend yesterday we got got onto the subject of age differences between husband and wives, partners etc. and how as you get older the differnce can become somewhat awkward.

She is fifteen years younger thatn her husband - he is 70 - 15 years diff.
Another female friend was 43 last month - her husband is 65 this year - 22 years diff.

Then to cap it all, the ex Mrs Tel informs me that the girl that was her bestest friend at school, (I knew her and am in touch with her although only in the lasy year or so), remarried in 1986. She would have been 31 then - her husband was 56 - 25 years diff.
They had 2 kids who are now in their mid 20's - he is now 83!

To cap it all, he left her for a younger woman  eeek:

The old adage is "half your age plus seven" as being acceptable.

I'm 15 years older than my ex. We failed the "half your age plus seven" rule when we married. We don't now.

Mrs DS #1 >+9
Mrs DS #2 >-11
Mrs DS #3 >-1

There is no magic formula in my opinion. It either works or it doesn't.
