"Winter Time" is actually Greenwich Mean Time .... a long established and universally recognised time.
British Summer Time is the false Daylight Saving Time, introduced to enable farmers and factory workers to put in more hours of labour.
Leave things alone I say.
I would be happy to maintain GMT all year round.
