Received a call from the local BOC branch yesterday asking me 'why'  eeek: we'd withdrawn most of our assets from them recently.............................they are apparently analysing customer reasons for taking their cash back  whistle:

It was tempting to be hugely sarcastic (but as you all know that is generally BM's forte) so contained myself my re-explaining the recent and ongoing CY banking crisis to them and also stating that I had thought the previous local manager was a jumped up sanctimonious twit and that also had had some bearing on our decision  ;D

Nice of them to call though  noooo:

 What a nice polite lady you are LL  lol: lol: cloud9:

Good use of what bit of cash there is left - running a survey to analyse why people are taking their money out!! I have been having fun this week trying to open new bank accounts, I have been made to feel like a cross between Carlos the Jackal and Osama Bed Linen. Central Bank are now thinking about wether they will let me pay money in - unbelievable!

Had it been me in your position, I'd have contented myself with the following response:

" . . . and you are surprised - why?"
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

I was being nice because I know well the counter lady who was calling and she is generally so amiable and helpful - obviously been passed a thankless task by the Banker Committee that  censored: it up in the first place..................

She promised to faithfully write down my comments and we decided the nearest Greek for sanctimonious was malaka (their version of wanker lol:) so felt I'd said my bit....for now  whistle:

CIVIL SERVANTS are to stage a two-hour warning strike next week, protesting parliament’s decision to consider cutting their 13th month bonus by 3 per cent and to give the money to poor families.

Any reduction in public sector wages is illegal, said public servants union (PASYDY) chairman Glafkos Hadjipetrou yesterday, announcing the two-hour strike for next Thursday.

Un-fucking believable......... noooo:

we have more government workers here per head than anywhere else in europe... cussing:

And more carbon paper  eeek:

I was truly shocked the first time I experienced seeing a legal form being re-written by hand with carbon paper inserts - but now I don't even raise my eyes emoticon  ::)
