G. Almighty.  ::)
The nearly taking his arm off row rages on on 5 live ffs! Banghead

IT WAS DANGEROUS PLAY, REGARDLESS IF IT WAS INTENTIONAL OR NOT.
GET A GRIP AND MOVE ON.

Even Roy Keane agrees on that one, and as for that slimey portugese arse hole,Ronaldo, what a friggin' tit with his muted celebration. sad32: lol:

Good to see 'Fergie Added Time' is still alive and kicking too btw. ::)
The whole thing was a bloody pantomime, with the oldl beetroot faced chewing one looking as though he was on the verge of instant combustion! happy001

That Ferdinand cretin(was it) should have been red carded for his sarcastic clapping right in front of the refs face at the end of the match too.

Not sure if Turkish Refs do sarcasm ~ he may have thought that he was being applauded for having a good match. I did see Ferdinand shake his hand a few seconds later ..... p'raps the "authorities" will see it for what it clearly was.

Still at the end of the day we'll never know if the sending off led to the result or not..... Fact is the match is over and only one team will be going forward to the next round.

Agreed  :thumbsup:  Never ceases to amaze me what little respect players/coaches have for the ref in football. Never use to happen in rugby but I notice these days that it's even creeping in there  noooo:

It's because players think they know the roolz better than the refs. Play to the whistle was how I was taught the game(s) ~ all this ball snatching and surrounding the ref would have seen us straight in the early bath.

Yes Ferdinand could have been (and apparently still could be) red carded for that sarcasm after the game had finished.  Depends if UEFA or the ref want to bring the game into disrepute by being so petty.  There is a big difference between during and after a game and imho between dissent and deliberate foul play.

Overall the ref had a good game, it's arguably not his fault that UEFA/FIFA want to insist on red cards so readily ignoring that spectators have paid good money to see entertainment.  Rugby of course sees far worse violence and has that sin bin option.

Apparently the United goal should have been ruled out for offside and Madrid shoud have had a penalty.  That's the luxury of video replay that UEFA/FIFA insist on banning during matches for some stupid fear it might expose refs as being human beings.

Well, whatever, nevermind

So, England's hopes of a Champions League winner rest with Arsenal.

That's like relying on Jimmy Savile as your babysitter.

I put a load of the Fenian scum on a plane to Malpensa on Monday night.  I took great pleasure in pointing out they were flying on an Orange plane and whistling the Sash as I took their gate bags off them  eveilgrin:
