My first car, which wasn't actually that far from this one in the condition stakes but in Primrose Yellow.
Next one was also yellow and in even worse condition and regulary got stopped by the scuffers for no tax,  bald tyres, speeding (just) and  motor vehicle construction act 1896 misdemeanours.
JUST managed to hold onto my licence with a quite eye watering 16 points accrued at one stage.

No, I don't know how either tbqh. noooo:

Hand painted the second one in shit green to get the rozzers of my scent, which actually worked for a while, and me mates path that we painted it on still has some stains on the path to show for it. lol:

Finally got shut at the auction for £15.

Finally got a job that paid enough for me to buy a half decent car in 1969 (Hillman Minx passion wagon with front bench seat for thigh fondling purposes) when I worked at the Vauxhall Motors plant down the road 'ere where they currently make the Astra, on the production line building Viva HB's

Liked it that much, I upgraded to the latest model a year later!

Left Vauxhalls due to terminal boredom, and  decided to go taxi'ing in it.

It was a shed however, and got shut after 4 weeks.

Swapped it at the main stealer I got the Minx from , for a brand new Marina 1.8 DE LUXE in the best colour, Teal Blue!! eeek:
I've still got a tin of spray paint from those days for it even now.
This one is the 1300 that had the cheapo grill, whereas as mine had the one bar grille. cloud9:
Used this to taxi in too, and did 115,000 miles in eighteen months in it.

It never actually let me down either.
Rozzers used to have the TC version that i lusted after but couldn't afford.

My dad had a couple... the last one was a 'Super'....  cloud9:

We used to paint it as a family project every other year - he bought bright green emulsion paint and mixed it with polyurethane varnish - made a lovely job!  lol:

I bet the shell was in one piece long after all the metal rusted away...

Remeber the 'Jubilee edition TC'  in slime yellowy green? sick2:

Werth an absolute fortune now apparently...IF you can find one.

I actually liked the much maligned Marina tbh.

Remember one tart cussie just after i got the car, striking a match on the inside of the rear window to light  a fag.
Stopped and chucked her out I was that angry. Angry9:

Very difficult to remember which cars I had tbh, as after I left the taxis I started buying to sell from the auction, but used them for my own use inbetween buying and selling.

I remember buying my mates modified Mini with a lift forward one piece fibreglass bonnet and wing conversion.
Dogs bollox it was, and went like hot snot! cloud9:

Teal Blue and mine was an absolute minter 'til some absolute dickhead ran into the back of it. cussing:
Got it repaired, but it was never the same after that. Back door kept catching on the apeture

Bit of an owld minger of a shed that I got cheap from the auction.
Wolsley 1800.
Reason it was cheap was because the auto box was bodged for selling, but basically goosed. evil:

Other than that, quite a nice and extremely roomy motor.
