Name Tapes in Kids Clothes
« on: January 28, 2013, 10:22:43 AM »
Yep! We sew them in everything that goes into the school and the boys still lose items. When we complain to the school they always say the same "Did it have his name in?" and the answer is always "Yes" and the school do sod all about it. What is the point if the staff are not prepared to look at labels in other kids garments and check that they have their own and not my kid's stuff. Mostly what goes missing here are anoraks. We send the boys off in them when the weather is inclement but the school has no lockers or any secure area to hang coats with the result they have to lug them around all day. Never get through a term without losing at least one. Even if the child can identify their own coat on another kid the teachers refuse to check the labels.
What really irks is that the staff all say "Your son needs to learn to look after his stuff" ..... BUT they will not allow the outdoor coats to be taken into the classrooms.

That, Miss D, is the conclusion I drew tho' quite how hard it is to look in the neck of an anorak, especially if the owner is pointing at it and saying "That is my anorak and my name tape is in the collar" is beyond me.  shrugs:

Nah ~ Let's be honest ~ They simply can't be bothered.

A teacher cannot lay hands upon a child I believe.  DS has a brilliant solution.
