The Beast's new nest.
« on: January 06, 2013, 02:50:03 PM »
Christ on a bike. Worra bloody palarva! eeek:

TRYING to paint all the walls, but I'm surrouunded by mounds of shite.

Slowly getting there though, oh yes.

Just got to let the emulsion dry so i can lob another coat on, buy some bookcases and fit them all.

I'll take some piccies when it's all complete, complete with The Beast in place. cloud9:

I thought I'd emptied all the shite out, but Id swear it's breeding. Banghead

I've gorra empty and tidy the garage tomorrer before I can get stuck into MeMi again...

Full of shite it is...  noooo:

Still, there is a mahoooosive wheelie-bin up the road and I can put anything I like in it...  cloud9:

Actually, one of the things that struck me about the UK was the amount of fly-tipping! I guess that happens if you stop letting people take rubbish to the dump without sorting it into 37 different types...

2/3rds of the walls painted now. Bloody difficult and laborious  as they were just bare plaster before. ::)

Then of course is the dreaded ceiling that resembles a relief map of the Himalaya. evil:

Yea, I was wondering about that tbh. rubschin:

Grey floor paint, or maybe some cheap carpet?

Trouble with floor paint is it'll mean emptying everything off the floor space and into the front garden whilst it dries.
How long's it take to go off, do you know?

Actually, one of the things that struck me about the UK was the amount of fly-tipping! I guess that happens if you stop letting people take rubbish to the dump without sorting it into 37 different types...

Or charging for taking fridges etc.

An old chap in the village passed away in the spring and he was a bit of a Steptoe. He collected, among other things, huge heavy old TV sets, I mean the sort with wooden cabinets that are a two man lift.

I was volunteered to ship them to the dump, so loaded up 4 of them and went to the dump with his son, only to be told by some jobsworth that the rules say you can only dispose of two TV's/monitors per year without charge.

We dumped two there and then went to the dump in Reading  for the other two . .

No wonder they all end up in laybys (lays-by?)  evil:
I mostly despair
