3 cylinders.  Anyone remember when so many went all  noooo: over 5 cylinder Audis?

Still sounds a bit weird though

On the 3 cylinder point, my brother had one of these:

1956 Saab 93 A (748cc 3-cylinder 2-stroke)

Did quite well in "Monte" as I recall - however, they cost a fortune in oil to run and laid down their own smoke screen!
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

Ah SAAB.  In memory of brands departed.

And wasn't Growler mentioning DAF earlier?

Performed well on the motorways today

'tis indeed a good little engine.

Shame the same couldn't be said about the motorways. Took me a total of six hours to do a round trip of about 150 miles. Average speed 25mph, average fuel consumption 31.5 mpg  noooo:

Took the motor down to the dealers today ~ a "recall" for a realignment of a heater cable that might short out.

No problems, but it took me a while to get the driving position back to the way that suits me (being a bit on the short side like)  Banghead

My car has fancy electric seats that "pair" with the keys, so when Mrs DS uses her key, it automatically moves seat and steering wheel to her preferred position.

All very well until I pick up her key to nip to the shop and get jammed under the dash and crushed against the wheel. redface:
