Yes, I got that.... I watched a chunk of it...

I didn't understand why, given all the equipment he has to hand, he doesn't just build an ultralight aircraft and fly it...? shrugs:

I.e. grab a set of plans and build one that is tried and tested, rather than making multiple 'prototypes' and producing heaps of scrap metal...?

Looking at some of the other videos on his channel I'd guess that he figures it would be more of a challenge to do it this way.
