Anyhoo we all figured that the longer you spend down in the pit and not under LL's feet the happier she would be  rubschin:

Look on the bright side, if LL is happy then you aren't in trouble...  rubschin:

Even more ex military gear being sold off including..........someone get a bowl to catch BM's drool..............a sea harrier simulator including cockpit.

Price: £90,000 - Harrier cockpit and simulator. When the MoD decided it no longer had use for the famous Harrier jump jets in 2010, it wasn't just the aircraft themselves that went, a whole host of ancilliary equipment such as this training aid also became redundant. It's incomplete but will still help fulfil any wealthy fantasists' dreams of piloting the ground-breaking jet - though they will have to navigate their way through International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) before purchasing it.

I had a seat (but not a go, it was switched off) in the Harrier simulator at RAF Wittering many, many years ago....

At the time, the technology consisted of a camera on a gimbal thing that 'flew' over a vast 3D map of some part of Russia with little model houses and oil rigs that you could actually 'land' on... The camera image was projected into the 'cockpit' of the Harrier...

The houses were only half an inch high.... I always though that if a spider was walking across a 'field' while you made a low-level pass you would have absolutely shit yourself!  lol:

I'm starting to see a hell of a business opportunity here. £45 for half an hour, £60 for an hour, open 9am till 10pm 7 days a week based somewhere near(ish) London, or depending on the server size potentially even make it mobile and advertise it as a big boy's toy experience.....  rubschin:

No we just alter the flight settings for them so if one does manage to get their hands on the real thing they will plough into the ground well before getting to their target...  eveilgrin:
