The reason I did it was that Miss T is on another network and calling her cost nearly more than phoning the UK ......but had to keep my number coz everyone has it .........quite easy to use (someone showed me  redface:) .......well worth it ...................and if you on pay as you go thingy if you run out of credit on one you have the other ........

Never had reason in 17 years to actually consider this before.

I am impressed that you want to ring your cussies let alone see them.  I have five of them, mine not yours obviously, I know roughly where 2 live the other three I have no idea about. noooo:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I set-up an answering service when I started my business in 1990.

They answered with my company name and always said I was in a meeting or unavailable.  lol:

I used to be out and about visiting my customers, er cussies and would stop at call boxes, call the answering service, get my messages then call all the cussies back. Simples.  Thumbs:

Was a lot easier when I got my fist mobile phone tho... It was one like this: -

I have 29 first cousins.   eeek:

... and I used to be responsible for the company mobile phone which seemed to be attached to a car battery, either way I couldn't pick it up.   noooo:

I had one of these bolted in the car in the 70's.

There was an operator that you asked for the number. "Radiophone operator, number please"

When you were talking, you had to press the orange button like a walkie talkie.

Proper analogue, Growler would have loved it.

I assume you had a man to press the button for you....?
