Excel woes

I am trying to add 5 columns of data to a Pivot Table someone has sent me but it won't let me do anything as it claims to re read only. Can't do a Save or Save as and it refuses to let me copy and paste either  cussing:

Close excel down, use go to where you have the file on your computer right click on it and select properties. There should be a read only option you can untick. Apply and close and you should be able to use it as normal.
